Meet K.P.
First off, K.P. is my pen name. It’s my hubby’s first initial and my first initial – Kevin & Patti. So, I’m Patti, but running this site as K.P. since it’s already established in the cozy mystery genre.
I’ve been writing all of my life. When I first got online, I guess in the late 90s I discovered freelance writing and blogging–oh and you got paid for it. WooHoo!
I did that until about 2016. At that time self-publishing fiction had become a thing so I started writing fiction to publish. I had been dabbling with fiction all along, but never really finished anything. Since then I have written and published over 21 books (cozy mystery and romance).
During my freelance and blogging days I wrote for several top websites (under a previous name) so I was a professional writer. I guess I still am, although I don’t call myself that these days. I’m just a writer, I’ve learned a few things, I’ve created my own worksheets when I couldn’t find ones that suited me and my style. Now, I want to share those things with other writers, especially cozy mystery writers.
You can find romance writing resources all day long. Cozy mystery, not so much. So, I decided to take the leap and hope I can offer resources that will help you on your journey, as they are very much needed for this genre.
